Yesterday, near to 10:40 am EST, the present members of my dissertation committee congratulated me for successfully defending my dissertation “Recombinant Media: The Mutation of Subjectivity in a Post-Print Culture.”

A bit of administrative paper work must be completed before the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences will confirm I have completed the requirements for Doctor of Philosophy in English Language and Literature. In January 2005, GSAS will confer my degree.

Though I can now prepend my name with the honorific “Dr.”, I’ll still just be mistersquid for those of you who care.

Speaking of which, this site is in great need of a renovation, but I don’t have the heart to do it. I want to have a more stable weblog. To that end, I am now  attaching an organ . I hope it grows on you.
